This wreath over the fireplace is the heart of our Christmas celebration. Each year it involves a husband’s labor of love–must be decorated while standing on a tall ladder. This year it came together from 3 different spools of ribbon, numerous glittered picks, long-stem glitter poinsettias, feathered picks on alligator clips, etc. etc. The red and gold glitter is a great way to counter-balance the Mexican limestone fireplace with carved acanthus leaf pillars and a fleur-de-lis plinth at the top.
