We received our own Christmas miracle on Saturday morning! Our dog suffered congestive heart failure and we rushed him an hour away to Texas A & M College’s Veterinary Hospital at College Station, Texas. He was critical, but the wonderful staff and doctors were able to quickly diagnose the problem and put him on life-saving medicines. It was tough seeing that tiny guy with a nitroglycerin patch on one ear, receiving pure oxygen thru his nose, and a diuretic drip to ease the fluid collecting on both sides of his heart. Kudos to Dr. Bruno Boutet, DVM, who specializes in cardiology at Texas A & M, for giving us more precious time with our furry companion!
