Roses for a Special Valentine!

Valentine’s Day has been around officially since a fifth century Pope, Gelasius, proclaimed February 14 to be the day!  It is estimated that 150 million Valentine’s Day greetings are purchased each year (85% of them bought by women.)  The oldest known Valentine is from 1415 when Charles, Duke of Orleans, imprisoned in the Tower of London after the Battle of Agincourt, sent his wife a valentine greeting.

Valentine’s Day is celebrated in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Canada, Australia, and Mexico.  I love this heart-shaped blossom vase from Hobby Lobby previously.  No roses were murdered for this photo as these beauties from Target look fresh as a daisy with no watering!  Beautiful cherub statues found at Tuesday Morning eons ago!!

“All you need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
