Here is dear old Santa Claus, he has a group of teddy bears hanging onto his every word. Time to begin that age old tale: “Twas the night before Christmas…”
“The teddies were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugarplums danced in their heads.”“While Mama in her kerchief and I in my cap had just settled down for a long winter’s nap..”
“Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.”“When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.”“Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.”
This little vignette is my vision of the Teddy Bear’s Christmas. It all started when I bought the motorized Santa reading a story beside the grandfather clock. Next came the doll bed for the bears, and the day I found the Boyd’s bear in his red flannel jammies clutching his pillow, I knew it was all meant to go together! Later came the tiny fireplace and mouse family from ABC who enjoyed listening to Santa’s bear story! Put together your own Christmas scene–whether its dolls or bears or snowmen or nutcrackers. Create that Christmas parlor or snow scene or tree trimming event in miniature, you’ll be surprised how much fun and how far your imagination will take you! Time for a pause to cook that turkey, and then later—glittery Christmas putz houses circling the ice skating rink!
